Who Qualifies for this Option?

💡 2025 Age Update: As of late 2025, the minimum age for this program has been lowered to **40 years old**.

Why choose SRRV over the Balikbayan Program?

While the Balikbayan program is free, the SRRV Courtesy provides a more stable, long-term solution for those moving back for good.

Balikbayan Entry

Free, but only valid for 1 year. Requires you to leave the country or deal with complex extensions to stay longer.

SRRV Courtesy

Requires a deposit, but grants Lifetime Residency. No more visa runs or Bureau of Immigration visits.

Core Documentary Requirements

All documents issued outside the Philippines must be **Apostilled** by the competent authority in the country of issuance. Documents not in English must have an official English translation.

🛂

Valid Passport & Entry Visa

Original passport with a valid 9(a) Tourist Visa. You must be physically present in the Philippines during the application process. Include 8-12 pieces of 2x2 photos (white background).

👮

Police & NBI Clearances

An Apostilled Police Clearance from your home country (issued within the last 6 months). If you have stayed in the Philippines for more than **30 days**, you also need a local NBI Clearance.

🏥

Medical Examination

You may use PRA Medical Form No. 002. It is highly recommended to have this done at a **PRA-accredited clinic** in the Philippines to avoid the need for foreign authentication/Apostille.

🇵🇭

Proof of Former Filipino Citizenship

For the Courtesy track, you must provide either your **PSA Birth Certificate** or an **old Philippine Passport**. Naturalization papers from your new country may also be requested.

🏦

Bank Certification

Proof of Inward Remittance from a foreign bank to a PRA-accredited bank (e.g., DBP, Landbank). The bank must issue a notarized certification of the deposit.

The Process

1

Inward Remittance

Transfer the required deposit (US$1,500 or US$3,000) from an overseas bank to a PRA-accredited bank in the Philippines.

2

Submit Application

Visit a PRA office (Manila, Cebu, or Davao) to submit your documents and pay the one-time $1,500 application fee.

3

Oath of Affirmation

Once approved, you will attend a short oath-taking ceremony and receive your SRRV ID card and passport sticker.
